Hurray For Harry! Harry’s Smokin’ BBQ Is Opening In Toms River!
I can’t express how excited I am for my friend Harry Clayton, owner of the Harry’s Smokin’ BBQ trailer at 240 Dover Road in South Toms River.
Harry just announced that he will be opening a brick-and-mortar restaurant at 213 Route 37 in Toms River this summer. That’s right next door to C& G’s Country Café, one of my favorite places to have breakfast or brunch.
This has been Harry Clayton’s dream for years!
For the record, Harry has won multiple awards including the Asbury Park Press Community’s Choice Awards, he won 8 of those in 2023 for Best Wings, Best Food Truck, Best BBQ, Best Ribs, Best Lunch, Best Cheesesteak, Best Catering Company, and Best All Around Restaurant.
He’s also won multiple awards over the years in several categories in the WRAT Shore Awards.
Good things happen to good people and trust me, Harry Clayton is a good person who deserves all the success in the world.
For several months, Harry has kept me in the loop every step of the way while working on opening his very own restaurant.
He would give me updates as things moved along. Now I can tell you for sure that Harry is ready to rock Toms River and the surrounding areas with more of his fantastic food.

When Is Harry’s Smokin’ BBQ Opening In Toms River?
On April 23, 2024, Harry posted the following message on social media:
The time has come to I announce Harry’s Smokin’ BBQ is expanding. With Huge demand from our customers, we’re moving to Toms River in a store front. We will be located right next to our new FRIENDS and NEIGHBORS C&G’s Country Cafe in the old Kmart shopping center.
We are NOT getting rid of the trailer. We will be keeping the trailer so we can continue with our events and private parties. As far as the roadside goes, we will try and stay open until the restaurant is finished. I’m still considering keeping the trailer in South Toms River but on a limited basis.
I’m sure this will make a lot of our customers very happy and I’m sure there will be some that are disappointed. We will be able to stay open when the weather is bad, we will be staying open until 8pm, we will be able to handle a lot more catering and most importantly, better serve our customers.
Lastly, I want to thank my customers for supporting us. Without you all none of this wouldn’t be possible. You made Harry’s what we are today with your continued love and support. So from my family and I, we thank you all from the bottom of our hearts.❤️❤️
We are shooting for a July 1st opening. 😁
