It’s those cold months that we most look forward to eating a hearty hot breakfast.
National Hot Breakfast Month is celebrated every February to encourage everyone to set aside some extra time every morning to a make hot, fresh breakfast.
You know what they say about breakfast… It’s the most important meal of the day!
You may be surprised at how much better you feel throughout the workday when you allow yourself plenty of time to fully wake up, have your first cup of coffee or tea, and chow down on a nutritious, or not so nutritious breakfast.
We should all really focus on a more nutritious breakfast during the work week. I save the sausages and home fries for weekends.
In the past, I’ve made overnight oats with fruit so that when I wake up and head out the door, I just grab a Mason jar of my overnight oats and head to work.
Avocado toast can be made in less than 5 minutes.
I keep a Nutri-Bullet in my office along with a container of protein powder if I wake up late and don’t have time to put something together in my kitchen.

If you don’t have the energy to cook so early in the morning, then get in the car, crank up the heat crank up the WRAT, and head over to one of your favorite local diners or restaurants for a nice hot bowl of oatmeal, or an omelette with all your favorite accompaniments like home fries, sausage, bacon, or our state favorite, pork roll.
