About Sailfest

New Jersey's Largest Sailing Festival is happening on Saturday, Sept 7, 2024, from 10 am to 10 pm.  It's a family event and it's FREE with live music, vendors, lots of food trucks, beer, wine, a kid’s area, a bounce house and super slides, and sailboat races.

Organized by Toms River Rotary to provide scholarships and support local community needs.

For over 30 years, The Rotary Club of Toms River has hosted one of Tom’s River’s largest community events, Sailfest.

According to the Sailfest website, It’s the largest Sailing event in New Jersey with vendors, live music, rides, a charity regatta and more that attracts well over 15,000 people to beautiful Island Heights from throughout New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, and Delaware.

100% of the net proceeds from Sailfest will provide significant funding that goes to our local community programs for schools, food banks, youth, veterans, homelessness, health care and other needs.

Two sailing race regattas begin around midday with winner’s cups being presented at area Yacht Clubs. The Winner of the PHRF Fleet Regatta is given The Sailfest Cup. The winner of the A-Cat Class Regatta is presented the Toms River Rotary Governor’s Cup.

Sailfest includes a 9-11 Reflection Ceremony, honoring the men and women as well as the First Responders who were lost during the tragic events of 9-11. The Ceremony also includes a symbolic wreath-laying and flag salute in Letter Park, and a visit by a classic antique fire engine from the Island Heights Fire Department.
