Livoti’s In Brick Has A Grand Opening Date!
My favorite store is opening a location in Brick!
Livoti’s Old World Market is finally opening a store in Ocean County, New Jersey.
There’s a huge space dedicated to selling Beer, Wine, and Spirits! Yes, a liquor license, the first for Livoti’s!
I’ve shopped in the Freehold, Aberdeen, and Middletown Livoti’s Markets and now I don’t have to travel as far.
Opening Date: March 7th, 2024
I live in Toms River and travel nearly an hour to the Middletown location to shop for the freshest produce, meats, and Italian specialty items.
For the last year or so, Livoti’s Old World Market has been teasing the opening of a Brick, New Jersey location, for what seems like an eternity.
What Happened To The Italian Specialty Store That Was Originally Slated For That Space?
Back in 2019, I was overjoyed when the owners of North Jersey based, Corrado’s Market, a 3rd generation family-owned grocery chain announced they were going to open their first store in Ocean County in Laurel Square Shopping Center in Brick.
The 30,000 square foot space, which was part of the now shuttered Pathmark grocery store, was going to be one of my go to Italian grocery stores in Ocean County, complete with a liquor license.
Unfortunately, Covid happened which caused delays in necessary materials and equipment, including refrigeration cases, shelving, and computers for the cash registers. The October 2020 opening vanished before our eyes.
Then, legal red tape between Laurel Square’s landlord and the owners of Corrado’s, prevented the store from opening. Back rent and a bunch of other legal stuff became major issues. I believe these things were finally settled between the parties.
So, When is Livoti’s opening In Brick, NJ?
My dreams have come true. Livoti’s Old World Market will now occupy that huge space in Laurel Square. The location’s official address is: 1930 NJ-88 Suite 6, Brick Township, NJ 08724. You can also enter the shopping center from the Route 70 side.
