Co- Founder Of Rosie’s Pizza In Point Pleasant Opens a Pizza Heaven In Belmar. We Give a Warm Welcome To Mike Gallucci’s Pizzeria Lucci in Belmar!

Mike Gallucci has blessed the people of Belmar and the surrounding areas with his presence and his pizza! Mike is the co-founder of Rosie’s Pizza on Bay Avenue in Point Pleasant Beach. If you’re a pizza connoisseur living on or near the Jersey Shore, you have probably eaten pizza from Rosie’s.

According to the Rosie’s website, Rosie’s is a pizza shop in the truest sense. “We’re obsessed with making high-quality pizza, and there’s very little else on the menu to distract from that focus. Years of experience, constant experimentation, and most of all a passion for producing a great product make each and every pizza at Rosie’s Special. Great pizza served in a clean, comfortable setting will always be our main goal.”

Even El Presidente, Dave Portnoy, has been there. Dave gave Rosie’s Pizza an 8.5 rating. Rosie’s is easily one of the best pizza joints on the Jersey Shore.

Great Pizza Restaurant Comes To Belmar

Mike Gallucci brings his magic to Belmar Plaza, the same strip mall that houses 10th Ave. Burrito. We are in for a special treat with Mike Gallucci’s Pizzeria ‘Lucci.

In the kitchen with Mike is Adam Simmons, who has worked as a pizza chef for eight years at places like Corbo & Sons in Holmdel’s Bell Market, and chef and pop-up pizzeria owner Michael Buscemi.

In an interview with the Asbury Park Press, “I’m going to start with pizza, salad, and meatballs, then when we get our feet wet, we can slowly roll out a few more things,” Gallucci said of the menu at his 30-seat BYOB, tucked between Santo Ceviche and Hoagitos in Belmar Plaza.

The Asbury Park Press article also revealed, that aside from a classic pizza with marinara and a small selection of toppings, Gallucci will offer specialty pizzas, like one with pepperoni with red onion, shaved garlic Parmigiano Reggiano and fresh mozzarella, and a spinach pie with heavy cream and garlic.

Gallucci’s Pizza Lucci will be open for lunch and dinner Tuesdays through Saturdays, and delivery and online ordering are currently in the works.
