It’s been 31 years since “The River Of Dreams”, Billy Joel’s last pop album.
The wait for new music is officially over as today (Feb. 1st), he released his first new song in decades called “Turn the Lights Back On” and in this very biased writer’s opinion the wait was well worth it.
Billy is wrapping up his residency at Madison Square Garden this summer after 10+ years performing every month. He became the arena’s latest “franchise” and has since played over 180 shows at the legendary venue. Also, this summer he will be hitting the road for some football stadium shows with Rod Stewart and Sting (not together) but with one or the other. Here’s hoping those shows can make their way to our area!
We only hope that there is a full new album on the way, but in the meantime…enjoy this INCREDIBLE new song by the Piano Man!
