Barbara Farragher - BBGIMy Passion For Animals
Embarking on a journey that intertwines my passion for animals, my role as the host of WJRZ's Happy Tails Pet Adoption Program perfectly expresses my profound love for all four-legged creatures. Whenever I host the show, I do so in honor of my dogs past and present that have been on my remarkable life’s journey with unconditional love and unwavering devotion.
Long before I ever stepped foot into a shelter or hosted a pet adoption program my love affair with animals started right at home, where a sweet cat and a spirited dog were my childhood companions. No matter the circumstance, a disappointing test result, or a fallout with friends, my furry friends were there, offering comfort in their unique ways. Whether it was a gentle nuzzle, a comforting purr, or a wagging tail, their presence was a source of unwavering comfort and support. In their loyal companionship, I found a space of love and acceptance, a refuge from life's inevitable ups and downs.
Little did I know that my journey would take a delightful turn, landing me smack dab in the role of the host for WJRZ's Happy Tails Pet Adoption Program. It has been an honor beyond words to be entrusted with the responsibility of connecting shelter animals with compassionate individuals eager to open their hearts and homes. I have formed relationships with shelter directors and volunteers and our common love of animals always brings joy!
My Mia
My rescue dog Mia is a few steps away from me as I type this. She is a blonde spoiled goddess of Dachshund and Chihuahua lineages, noted for her shady side-eye when she judges us for skimping on the belly rubs, she so richly deserves. She is shooting me one of those looks right now.
As the host of Happy Tails, I have had the pleasure of witnessing countless furry friends find their ‘fur-ever’ homes, a testament to the magic and impact of pet adoption. I cannot recommend our Bark in the Park event enough. If you’re looking for a new four-legged friend, this is the place to be! If your house is full, stop by anyway and show support for the tireless volunteers who ensure the safety and well-being of someone’s next best friend, Bark in the Park, is on June 2 at Lakewood Blue Claws Park.
National Puppy Day: Pups Of The Jersey Shore
March 23 is National Puppy Day!
We thought it would be great to ask you to introduce us to your pooches at home.
What we saw were breeds of all shapes, sizes, and ages. But, age is just a number, and we all know we always see them as puppies. Honestly, the hardest part was picking a cover model.
This is the compiled list of pups of the Jersey Shore!
