Robert Smith and The Cure kicked off the highly anticipated Shows of a Lost World Tour last night in New Orleans, and the band did not disappoint as they barreled through 289 songs at the Smoothie King Center.

The crowd was treated to some new songs including "Alone" and "Endsong" which opened and closed the show respectively, plus "A Fragile Thing" and "Nothing is Forever." A couple of tour rarities were in the set including  Kiss Me Kiss Me Kiss Me's "A Thousand Hours" and "Six Different Ways" from Head on the Door which hadn't been played live since 1987.

A lengthy set was followed by a five song encore culminating with "A Forest," followed by a packed second encore which featured big hits like "Boys Don't Cry," "Just Like Heaven," and "In Between Days."
