Billy Joel Busts Out Song For First Time Since 1981
Billy Joel’s regular monthly show at Madison Square Garden for April had to be postponed from Saturday April 22 because of the Rangers-Devils playoff game. Fans who had to wait a couple of extra days for the show this past Tuesday (4/25/23) had their patience greatly rewarded when Billy busted out a song that he has not performed live in 42 years!
After the applause following “Just the Way You Are,“ Billy spoke about his time living in Los Angeles, wrapping it up by saying, “We never do this song, we haven’t done this since the ’80s, I think. Let’s give it a shot.” And thus began the first live performance of Los Angelenos in over four decades!
