Bono and The Edge: Interviews and Songs and ABBA!
While U2 is not currently in the studio or on the road, Bono and The Edge have been making the rounds to promote Songs of Surrender, a double album reinterpreting 40 of their classics, which is meant to accompany Bono’s memoir, Surrender: 40 Songs, One Story, as well as their new Disney+ documentary, Bono and the Edge: A Sort of Homecoming With David Letterman.
While the Letterman special is a fun look at the band’s history with the city of Dublin, the folks at Apple Music brought Bono and The Edge back to the American desert (a major source of inspiration for The Joshua Tree) to chat with Zane Lowe about reexamining their catalog through the lens of historical perspective, the art of songwriting, and the challenges of keeping the band and their relationships with each other together for more than four decades.
Bono and The Edge also stopped by NPR for their Tiny Desk concert series. This intimate performance is so good, and you can see these two are still amazing friends to this day and are still having the time of their lives.
A visit to BBC Radio resulted in a surprise cover of ABBA’s S.O.S.!
