Saturday Night Live Takes On The Chinese Balloon With Host Pedro Pascal
Once again America found itself transfixed by a balloon this weekend, and of course Saturday Night Live had to take on the biggest, weirdest news story of the last few days (until the next weird story takes over the news cycle).
Bowen Yang (of course) had the role of a lifetime playing the Chinese surveillance balloon that was shot down by the U.S. military Saturday, and he even wore water wings! Those Chinese spy folks are prepared for anything.

The other stand out sketch of the night was Lisa From Temecula, which basically had everyone in the sketch breaking. Guest host Pedro Pascal was great, doing his best to keep things moving along, but Ego Nwodim’s Lisa was just too much for anyone to keep a straight face. Bowen Yang, who never breaks, just gives up and tosses his fork in resignation.
We haven’t had a game show sketch in a while, and The Bug Hollywood Quiz scratched that itch with Bowen Yang making a rare appearance as the show host.
