Pine Beach Fire Company Fundraiser at Richard’s Sub World
When you hear the word “firefighter”, what do you think of? Often, you picture an individual dressed in full gear rushing into a burning building to save someone trapped inside. But a firefighter also performs many different duties like responding to traffic accidents, treating sick & injured people and helping our neighbors in need. Although all these situations don’t typically happen every day, the work of a firefighter must never go unappreciated, even in the smallest circumstances.
Firefighters are some of the bravest people out there and surprisingly, a lot in our community don’t get paid for what they do. They volunteer for the love of their work and can be put into a dangerous situation at a moment’s notice. These volunteers do a lot more than just waiting around until a fire starts, they are a vital part of fire safety and the first responders in our community.
So how do the departments raise funds for proper equipment? Sometimes, funding is provided by the town or county where they’re located but most of the time, the funding simply isn’t enough, and fire departments hold their own fundraisers. The Pine Beach Volunteer Fire Company is holding a fundraiser at Richard’s Sub World, 299 Atlantic City Boulevard in Bayville, on Thursday, April 18th from 10 am to 5pm.
Take a picture of the flyer below or print it and present at the shop so 20% of your total purchase can be generously donated to Pine Beach Fire Company. This is a great day to pick up one of your favorite subs and help an organization in need. Firefighters are here in your community to serve you. Now, let us give back and help them.
