Gotham FC Kicks Off NWSL Season Sunday
The National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) is back for it’s eleventh season this weekend, and excitement and expectations are high for Gotham FC in what is shaping up to be a major bounce-back year after last season’s disappointing finish at the bottom of the table.
The roster has been overhauled with several key new additions joining returning stars like Midge Purce, Kristi Mewis, Imani Dorsey, McCall Zerboni, and legend Ali Krieger who has announced this will be her farewell season.

New additions to the club include USWNT legend Kelly O’Hara, Lynn Williams, and Jersey Girl Kristen Edmonds who was just honored by the New Jersey Girls Soccer Coaches Association.

Gotham kicks off the season Sunday evening at 9 PM EDT as they take on Angel City FC in Los Angeles. Sydney Leroux and Christen Press lead the attack for the second year expansion team that drew massive crowds in their inaugural year. Angel City’s home opener is The match is available on Paramount+.
