Depeche Mode on Jimmy Kimmel
Depeche Mode are getting set to release Momento Mori this week, their first album since the passing of the band’s Andy Fletcher last year. Surviving members Dave Gahan and Martin Gore poured their grief into the new album, and they are about to embark on a massive tour of the U.S. and Europe that will keep them on the road right through December.
DM stopped by Jimmy Kimmel’s show last night to treat folks to their new single, “Ghosts Again.”

Momento Mori is the band’s 15th album, and it’s already getting critical raves.
On Depeche Mode's 15th full-length, the pioneering synth-pop group — now a duo — questions mortality with their characteristic musical beauty and lyrical depth.

“Memento Mori ... offers a perfect blend of ominous mood, electronic textures that range from intense to ethereal and a classic Depeche Mode way with a melancholy but nagging melody.” - The Guardian, Depeche Mode on death, rebirth and defying the odds. https://t.co/IFs5vU0hb9 pic.twitter.com/qmFeOjZRZj
