Jamie Lee Curtis Demands Daytime Concerts For Early Bedtime People
I always knew I’d like Jamie Lee Curtis if we ever got to hang out together, and now I have a whole new level of respect for her after seeing her interview on Today. Ms. Curtis is up for her first Oscar this weekend for her performance in Everything Everywhere All at Once, and in making the media rounds she was interviewed on the red carpet at the Independent Spirit she mentioned she turned down an invitation to the Oscar nominees’ dinner the night before the ceremony. Why did she decline? “Because Mommy goes to bed early.” Oh my gosh, I hear you Jamie Lee!!
She went on to explain, “Because 7:30 will be 9 before we get our food, and you know what there’s nothing good happening with me after 9 o’clock. Nothing. Zero.” Ms. Curtis, who says she goes to bed at 7:30 and wakes up at 4, went on to say that it would be great if there were concerts for the early bedtime crowd. Another idea I can get behind!
“I challenge musicians to do concerts during the day! Why are there no matinees? I want to hear Coldplay at 1 in the afternoon!”
I think Ms. Curtis is on to something! Go for a nice lunch, see a concert at 1, back home for dinner by 5, then bedtime! I am behind you, Jamie Lee Curtis.
