Gotham FC Home Opener Tickets Go On Sale
The National Women’s Soccer League is gearing up for a massive 2023 that will see the 12-team league balance a 22 game schedule that will be running into the FIFA Women’s World Cup this summer in Australia and New Zealand, and it’s expected new NWSL franchises will be announced shortly as well.
2023 will be massive for our own Gotham FC as well. The club had a rough 2022, and results did not match expectations as Gotham finished at the bottom of the table with only 13 points. That lead to a major overhaul of the coaching staff and roster that has undoubtedly improved the team and heightened expectations for this season.
Gotham has an incredibly talented base to build on, with national teamers Ali Krieger, Margaret Purce, Kristi Mewis all returning, along with the likes of Imani Dorsey, McCall Zerboni, and Ifeoma Onumonu. New additions to the club include USWNT legend Kelly O’Hara, Lynn Williams, and Jersey Girl Kristen Edmonds.
Once again Gotham will call Red Bull Arena in Harrison home, and tickets are on sale today (February 28) for the season opener on April 1 at 7 PM against Megan Rapinoe at OL Reign.
The 2023 season schedule also includes the Challenge Cup, which will run concurrently with the regular season. The first Challenge Cup match will be home to Washington Spirit at 7:30 PM Wednesday April 19.
