New Depeche Mode Has Dropped
Depeche Mode are back with the first single from their forthcoming album, Momento Mori, the band’s fifteenth. “Ghosts Again” marks the band’s first release as a duo following the death of keyboardist Andy Fletcher last year. The song is really quite good, and a bit melancholy as well.
In a press release, Dave Gahan said “To me, ‘Ghosts Again’ just captures this perfect balance of melancholy and joy.” Martin Gore added, “It’s not often that we record a song that I just don’t get sick of listening to – I’m excited to be able to share it.”
The video was directed by long time DM collaborator Anton Corbijn, and it has that classic Depeche Mode vibe to it.
Memento Mori will be out March 24 and pre-orders for a limited edition clear vinyl are now being taken, the band will be at Madison Square Garden on April 14.
