Harry Potter Documentary Is Coming To BBC And We Couldn’t Be More Excited
This is another big year for Harry Potter fans! If you’re big into the wizarding world, we suggest purchasing a ticket to England as soon as possible to visit the Harry Potter exhibition at the British Library, just in time for Halloween!
In order to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Philosopher’s stone (yes, it has already been 20 years!), the British Library will have a variety of items on display. According to the press release, visitors will be able to see “rare books, manuscripts, and magical objects from their collection, capturing the traditions of folklore and magic at the heart of the Harry Potter stories.”

For those other muggles who are poor like me, you’ll just have to wait for the new BBC documentary that’s coming out! Entitled “Harry Potter: A History of Magic” will air this fall on BBC.
In a press released from the channel, they stated that it will “follow the exhibition in the run-up to its opening at the British Library, as the ancient texts, artifacts, and artworks are put on display.” I’m sure you were wondering if J.K. Rowling would be making an appearance. Luckily, she is! The fantastic writer will be interviewed about “some of the personal items she has donated to the exhibition”.

Famous fans, who have yet to be announced, will also be making appearances. Each celebrity will be recreating “best-loved spells, potions and magical moments from the series.”
If this news doesn’t already make you super excited, we have some more information on what to expect!

Viewers of the documentary will also be told about the origins of the world of Hogwarts. We can only hope that this will go into the backgrounds of all of the namesakes of the 4 houses. The press release noted that Harry Potter fans will learn everything from “basilisks through to broomsticks”.
