Naval Weapons Station Earle To Conduct Harbor Protection Exercises
Naval Weapons Station Earle will conduct harbor protection exercises on Tuesday, September 29 in Leonardo, New Jersey.
The exercises will take place from 1-4 p.m. in the waters surrounding the Navy’s pier which is a restricted area and violators will be prosecuted.
“The exercises are designed to enhance the training and readiness of harbor security forces,” NWS Earle NJ shared to Facebook. “The training is not in response to any specific threat but is regularly scheduled.”
The local communities which may be affected by the noise of the blank ammunition include Leonardo, Atlantic Highlands, Belford, Middletown, and Sandy Hook National Park.
