Never Forget: A List of 9/11 Remembrance Ceremonies Scheduled In Monmouth & Ocean County

On this solemn day marking the 23rd anniversary of 9/11, we remember to honor the lives lost on that tragic day. Together, we reflect on their courage and resilience, standing in solidarity as we cherish the memories of heroes and those who are no longer with us.

  • Freehold Borough

    This commemoration ceremony starts 8:15 a.m. on Wednesday. Everyone is welcome to attend

    The ceremony will take place at the Freehold Borough Fire House located at 49 W. Main Street, Freehold.

  • Manalapan Township Candlelight Ceremony

    Starting at 7:00 p.m.  Join Manalapan Township on Wednesday for a candlelight ceremony to remember the lives lost in the Sept. 11, 2001 attacks.

    It is located at Township Arboretum in front of Town Hall, 120 Freehold Road.

  • Shrewsbury Borough

    Shrewsbury Borough will host its 9/11 commemoration ceremony starting at 6 p.m.

    The ceremony will take place in Shrewsbury Borough Hall.

  • Red Bank Borough

    At Riverside Gardens Park, area residents are invited to join clergy leaders, members, and students at the ceremony. This will take place at Riverside Gardens Park on W. Front Street.

  • Marlboro Township

    Marlboro Township will hold its Patriot Day Ceremony at the Marlboro 9/11 Memorial on Wednesday. This will go from 8:15 AM to 9:15 AM.
    Mayor Jonathan Hornik will be in attendance.

  • Toms River, Ocean County Board of Commissioners

     The Ocean County Board of Commissioners will hold its annual Day of Remembrance ceremony to honor those killed in the Sept. 11, 2001.
    21 Ocean County residents were among the nearly 3,000 who lost their lives.  You can get more information here.

  • Barnegat

    The Barnegat Township Committee is hosting a remembrance ceremony at Town Hall, 900 West Bay Ave., on Wednesday at 9 a.m.

  • Stafford

    Stafford’s memorial ceremony is set for the evening, held at 6 p.m. at Beach Avenue Park.
