Big Changes At Raceway Park For 2018
The future will not include the NHRA. Some sad news to pass along to fans of the drag strip at Raceway Park in Englishtown, New Jersey.
In an announcement made today, track ownership said that the will no longer host drag racing at the fabled race track.
That said, the rumors of Raceway Park closing are false. They’re staying open and will host many of their popular events, but will no longer host the NHRA or other drag racing. Still a go are the swap meets, car shows, mud challenges and fitness races, kart racing, drifting, and motocross.
According to the announcement, the swap meets and other cool activities will continue and we look forward to going to them in the future.
The Napp family would also like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the
employees that have served our drag racing customers so well over the previous years. It
is with a great sadness that the Napp family is discontinuing drag racing, however the
family looks forward to continuing to provide the best outdoor events in this new era of
Raceway Park.
