Gov. Murphy Signs Executive Order To Begin Re-Opening Economy
At today’s press conference (Wed 5/13) Governor Phil Murphy began to outline the re-opening of New Jersey’s economy effective Monday, May 18th at 6am.
Also from the press conference, Gov. Murphy stated that “data shows that we are ready to begin to restart our economy.” From the peak:
☑️New hospitalizations down 2/3
☑️Total hospitalizations down nearly 1/2
☑️Patients in ICU are down
☑️Patients on ventilators down
☑️Positive cases down nearly 70%
☑️Deaths have decreased more than 1/3
At our non-essential retail stores:
☑️No customers will be allowed inside retail stores
☑️Stores can open for curbside pickup only
At our construction sites, work can resume with sensible safeguards in place:
☑️Clear posting of safety protocols
☑️Preventing overcrowding
☑️Prohibiting non-essential visitors
☑️Staggering work hours and breaks
☑️Ensuring proper sanitation
