Christy Springfield
About
“What goes around, comes around’. In this case, it’s a good thing…”
Christy Springfield is a radio veteran of nearly 30 years…and her journey has been an interesting one.
After starting her career in Atlantic City at WMID/WGRF, WAYV FM95 (remember ‘The Suncheck Girl’?) and doing stage and voiceover work for the Playboy Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City & The Rainbow Room in New York City, Christy packed her bags and moved to Philly in 1983 to join 98 WCAU-FM as the first female Hot Hits jock in the country. After a total of 22 years at 98.1 (which included some work at sister station WCBS-FM in New York), she left for a one year stop at Oldies 950 WPEN.
In addition to her extensive on-air experience, Christy has a long list of voice-over credits for narration and commercial work, receiving numerous Achievement in Radio Awards.
She also has a number of television credits (occasional co-host for “Dancin’ On Air” for WPHL-TV, Dance Party USA for the USA Network, KYW-TV CBS3, Philly 57).
And she shows no signs of stopping…continuing as one of the most recognizable names and voices on the radio today.
