Brick Family Puts Up "Heart-Stopping" Holiday Light Show

The Mirsky family has lived at 961 Quincy Drive in Brick since 2009 and every year, they have put out an amazing holiday light display.

According to the family website, it's said by Mr. Mirsky that Mrs. Mirsky's rule was always "Do what you want, as long as it's red... and white. And maybe a hint of green."

The kids eventually got bored with red, white and green. Christmas in 2020 as the COVID-19 pandemic was at its height, they wanted to bring happiness & joy to people's faces. They also had a need and desire to start replacing older lights with newer, more energy-efficient LED lights to save money on electricity and make changes that help the planet.

That year, they also added a 10-foot-tall piece of pipe that had 1,600 color-changing LED lights on it, and made it into a giant Christmas tree with plans to expand in 2021 by adding music and a whole new layout. However, the month before Christmas in 2021, Mr. Mirsky suffered cardiac arrest and as he puts it "left the land of the living." But the efforts of Brick PD and EMS brought him back. This led them to come up with the name "Mirsky's HEART-STOPPING Holiday Light Show."
