Please Don’t Marinate Your Chicken In NyQuil!

We've heard about some really stupid social media challenges in the past (Tide Pods, cinnamon challenge, Coronavirus challenge to name a few) but this could be one of the absolute dumbest of all time. The current "challenge" on social media is the "NyQuil Chicken" challenge where people are encouraged to cook chicken in a mixture of acetaminophen, dextromethorphan and doxylamine, the basic ingredients of NyQuil and some similar cough and cold products. Amazingly, the FDA had to put out a warning to let people know NOT to cook chicken with NyQuil. "Boiling a medication can make it much more concentrated and change its properties in other ways," the FDA said. "Even if you don't eat the chicken, inhaling the medication's vapors while cooking could cause high levels of the drugs to enter your body. It could also hurt your lungs." First of all, the chicken clearly can't taste good. Second of all, WTF IS WRONG WITH PEOPLE?
