937 weeks. That’s the amount of time that Pink Floyd’s iconic album Dark Side of the Moon has spent on the Billboard 200 album chart (so far) since its release 45 years ago today.
(Fun fact: The next longest run is Bob Marley and the Wailers’ Legend, which only has netted 510 weeks thus far. How pathetic!)
Sarcasm aside, that type of staying power is incredibly rare, and it’s unlikely we’ll see anything else quite like it in music. However, there are other mind-blowing streaks throughout history. Here are five of them.

Not a real shocker here considering the impact of this Michael Jackson album. The only other album to spend 30+ weeks at number one is Fleetwood Mac’s Rumours.

Queen Elizabeth II’s reign began on February 6, 1952. She will turn 92 in April…and her poor son Prince Charles is still waiting for his time in the sun.

Trebek (with and without a mustache) has been the host of Jeopardy! since 1984, and his current contract has him on the books to host through the 2019-20 season. In recent years, he’s gone viral for…well…like the video below indicates being savage.

The epic movie’s run at number one seemingly went on…and on…and on until it was finally dethroned by Lost in Space starring Gary Oldman, William Hurt and Matt LeBlanc.
