Buckingham, McVie Add More Tour Dates
Will we see more of Fleetwood Mac’s Lindsey Buckingham and Christine McVie together this year.
The two launched a short (19-date) North American tour last week to promote their self-titled new duo album, and this week they added a pair of concerts for Los Angeles (August 2) and New York (August 10).
Is that the harbinger of extending the tour or adding additional, and even international dates? Buckingham tells us that,
“We’ll see how it goes. Christine has a few commitments the last few weeks of August, I think, and we’ll see if it takes on a life…Certainly could end up doing another leg. There was some talk of going over to Europe…I don’t have an agenda for any particular scenario; At this point I’m just trying to help facilitate the show coming out as well as possible and seeing where it goes from there, you know? I just think it was such a surprisingly positive thing, this whole project coming together the way that it did, and how it turned out. So I’m just happy with whatever happens.”
Besides their own dates Buckingham and McVie will be reuniting with Fleetwood Mac for a pair of The Classic festival shows on July 16 in Los Angeles and July 30 in New York.
