Goodwill Signs Lease for 19,766-Square-Foot Store in Toms River’s Fischer Plaza
A big deal wrapped up on Jan. 9, 2025, when Vantage Real Estate Services locked down a long-term lease for Goodwill’s newest store at 1001 Fischer Blvd. in Toms River. Local shoppers can look forward to the store opening by mid-2025. Spanning almost 20,000 square feet, this spot represents a major expansion in Ocean County. It builds on its presence, which already includes a popular donation center in Toms River and job training sites in Bayville.
Vantage Commercial highlighted that in addition to expanding its reach, the new Toms River Goodwill store underscores the organization’s commitment to providing essential community resources while contributing to local economic and environmental goals. This agreement builds on an existing partnership between the companies. They previously worked together in 2021 to open Goodwill’s Hamilton Township location.
The store does more than just sell items: It’s an engine for funding job training. By selling donated goods, they help create jobs for people who face barriers to employment, including those with disabilities. Customers can grab great deals while helping others. Each purchase helps fund essential training and career guidance for local job seekers. Besides retail, Goodwill runs excellent job training centers. People learn important skills, from writing resumes to interview techniques.
The convenient location at Fischer Plaza makes donations simple. The large space combines both a shopping area and donation processing in one building, making operations smoother. The community has been asking for this. People want affordable shopping options nearby. They also need a convenient place to donate. Before this, residents had to travel far to visit a Goodwill store. This new location solves that problem.
This store adds to their network across South Jersey. Each location creates jobs locally while supporting more training programs.
