Roy Rogers Returning To South Jersey After 30 Years
Roy Rogers is coming back to Cherry Hill, New Jersey, in Spring 2025 — their first South Jersey location in thirty years.
The restaurant chain got its start in 1968 when Marriott Corporation teamed up with the famous cowboy actor. Earlier tries in Cherry Hill from 2015 and 2016 closed down by 2019. At its biggest, Roy Rogers had 600 restaurants across the country, with about 60 of them in New Jersey.
The new location brings its cowboy flair along with fan favorites people come to expect. Customers can enjoy popular items like the Gold Rush Chicken Sandwich and Double R Bar Burger, plus the usual sides. What makes the place special is its Fixin’s Bar. Customers can load up their food with fresh toppings at no extra charge — something you don’t see at other fast food spots.
“We plan to build on this success and expand even further in the market,” said Joe Briglia, the company’s director of real estate and franchise development.
The owners want to give the restaurant a proper update but keep the old-school feel and stay true to its roots.
Though Roy Rogers passed away in 1998, his memory stays strong. Every restaurant keeps photos of the cowboy star, maintaining the connection to how it all started.
The chain hopes to attract both longtime fans and newcomers alike. This blend of past and present might just get people excited about the old favorite again.
