Krysten Ritter To Star In ‘Orphan Black’ Sequel Series
Krysten Ritter is set to star in the lead role in AMC’s Orphan Black: Echoes sequel series currently in the works.
Per a press release, the Jessica Jones actress will also executive produce the series, which is set to debut in 2023 with ten episodes in the first season.
Set in the near future, Orphan Black: Echoes takes a deep dive into the exploration of the scientific manipulation of human existence. It follows a group of women as they weave their way into each other’s lives and embark on a journey, unraveling the mystery of their identity. Ritter will play Lucy, a woman with an “unimaginable” origin story, trying to find her place in the world.
Ritter will next be seen in HBO’s Love and Death, opposite Elizabeth Olsen sometime this year.
The original Orphan Black series followed the story of a young woman who finds out she’s a clone and then finds out that there are many versions of her out there. Tatiana Maslany plays each version of herself.
