Stop & Shop Announces New Store Hours for Customers 60 and Older
Stop & Shop is showing compassion and caring for our neighbors who are most vulnerable at this time due to the COVID-19 virus. The store is set to open their doors earlier in order to service only customers who are age 60 and older.
Starting Thursday, March 19, all Stop & Shop locations will open from 6:00 a.m. to 7:30 a.m. daily for this population. Each store will have a designated entrance for those coming to purchase groceries and shoppers are required to show ID for entry.
Stop & Shop has requested that others outside of this age group respect the purpose of this early opening. The company revealed that home delivery service will remain available to all customers as well.
“We’re making the decision to offer this every day of the week to allow for community members in this age category to shop in a less crowded environment, which better enables social distancing,” Stop & Shop stated in a press release. “They’ll also be shopping prior to any other customers entering.”
Stop & Shop hopes all customers will join them in their efforts to care for the older members of the community at this time. Click here for more information regarding coronavirus and updates on Stop & Shop store hours.
