Grammy Nominations: 7 Artists/Albums Honored You May Have Missed

The 62nd Grammy Nominations have been announced, but there’s a lot more to the Grammys than just the main music categories.

Here are seven artists/albums honored with Grammy nominations that you may have missed.

• Chris Cornell

  Cornell's self-titled retrospective release that featured the unreleased solo track “When Bad Does Good” was nominated for Best Recording Package. Among the art directors recognized for this Grammy is Pearl Jam bassist Jeff Ament.

• David Crosby

  Crosby's documentary 'Remember My Name' was nominated for Best Music Film, which honors concert/performance films and music documentaries.

• Thom Yorke

  Share

  Yorke received a number of Grammy nominations. In addition to his solo album, 'Anima,' being nominated for Best Alternative Music Album, it also received a nomination for Best Boxed Or Special Limited Edition Package and Best Music Film. York also received a nomination for Best Song Written For Visual Media for "Suspirium" from the film 'Suspiria.'

• Taron Egerton

  Egerton received a Grammy nomination for Best Compilation Soundtrack For Visual Media for the soundtrack for 'Rocketman,' in which he covered a number of Elton John's biggest hits. This Grammy award goes to "the artist(s) and/or ‘in studio' producer(s) of a majority of the tracks on the album."

• Dan Auerbach

  Auerbach was nominated for Producer of the Year (Non-Classical) for his producer work on six albums: Leo Bud Welch's 'The Angels In Heaven Done Signed My Name,' The Black Keys' 'Let's Rock,' The Gibson Brothers' 'Mockingbird,' Night Beats' 'Myth Of A Man,' Dee White's 'Southern Gentleman' and Yola's 'Walk Through Fire.'

• Woodstock: Back to the Garden – The Definitive 50th Anniversary Archive

  The 38 CDs, 432 Track massive box set released in honor of Woodstock's 50th anniversary was nominated for two Grammys: Best Boxed or Special Limited Edition Package and Best Historical Album.

  Black Sabbath's Tony Iommi received a Grammy nomination for Best Metal Performance for his feature work on Candlemass's "Astorolus - The Great Octopus."
