The Beatles “White Album” Reissue Nets Chart Success
Guess who’s back on the Billboard, back on the Billboard, back on the Billboard 200 chart?
The Beatles celebrated the 50th anniversary of “The White Album” with grand reissue campaign, and to the surprise of no one, the reissue was a hit and debuted at number six on the Billboard 200 album chart. Per Billboard, the reissue moved 63,000 units its first week, with 52,000 coming from physical album sales.
This was the second time a Beatles reissue debuted in the top ten of the Billboard 200 album chart. When the 50th anniversary reissue of Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band was released in June 2017, it debuted at number three.
Leave it to the Beatles to continue to be such a presence on the Billboard charts!
