More Pink Floyd Reissues On The Way
Pink Floyd will be releasing a pair of titles on vinyl from its catalog on November 17.
Coming that date are the wryly titled A Collection Of Great Dance Songs compilation and the 1988 live album Delicate Sound Of Thunder. The latter was recorded during a five-night stand in August of that year at Nassau Coliseum on Long Island during the first Pink Floyd tour without bassist Roger Waters; It also has the distinction of being the first rock album played in outer space after Soviet Union cosmonauts took it aboard the Soyuz TM-7 mission during November 1988.
A Collection Of Great Dance Songs, meanwhile, features six tracks from “Meddle” through “The Wall” and was certified double-platinum after its 1982 release. Neither title has been available in vinyl for more than 20 years.
