New Ringo Starr Album Out Now
Out today is Give More Love, the 19th solo album by Ringo Starr.
The 10-track set is the follow up to 2015’s Postcards From Paradise and features a wealth of guest co-writers and players, including Beatles mate Paul McCartney on two tracks (“We’re On The Road Again” and “Show Me The Way”) and brother-in-law Joe Walsh on another pair (“We’re On The Road Again” and “Electricity”), as well as appearances by friends and All-Starr Band alumni such as Peter Frampton, Steve Lukather, Edgar Winter and others.
A deluxe edition of the album features four more tracks, including remakes of “Photograph,” “Back Off Boogaloo” and “Don’t Pass Me By.”
Starr tells us that the album came together gradually over the past couple of years:
“It’s like a crazy way of working, really…I started off in the guest house in L.A. with ProTools and it’s augmented, of course…L.A. is great for me. People are passing by and…As long as you’re willing to move, you don’t know where the twists and turns are coming. That’s OK.”
Starr is revving up for a new All-Starr Band tour that begins October 13 with an eight-show residency at the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino and ends November 16 in Newark, N.J.
