Warren Zevon’s Book Collection Up For Bid
As one of rock’s most literate singer-songwriters, the late Warren Zevon was a voracious reader and book collector.
Now nearly 1,000 of his books, including editions signed by the authors with personal notes, will be going on sale.
Zevon’s ex-wife Crystal Zevon and their daughter Ariel Zevon are selling the books on eBay in order to raise money for the Brookview R&R community center and retreat they’ve started in Vermont.
Included in Zevon’s treasure troves are collections of Graham Green and W. Somerset Maugham titles, books by Hunter S. Thompson, Stephen King and Carl Hiaasen, and wealth of detective fiction.

Zevon died September 7, 2003 from cancer at the age of 56. His posthumously released album “The Wind” and won a pair of Grammy Awards.
