Aerosmith enjoyed an epic comeback in the 1980s thanks to a new sound and some heavy rotation on MTV. That success continued well into the 1990s, where they continued to grow their fanbase with some help from a now-iconic trilogy of music videos starring Alicia Silverstone.

The band’s five most-viewed music videos on YouTube are from this era, and they’re still as re-watchable and fun today as they were when they were first released. It’s also a reminder of just how powerful MTV was during this time and the stranglehold on culture it had on culture.

Without further ado, here are the five most-viewed music videos on Aerosmith’s YouTube channel.

• 5. "Angel" (160.7 million views)

  Sure, some of the visuals look kind of cheesy today, but cut Aerosmith some slack! After all, it was the late-’80s when “Angel” was released as a single, and the band was still at the beginning of their comeback, so the music video budget may not have been huge. What is still huge is the hook in the chorus of this classic power ballad.

• 4. "Amazing" (298.9 million views)

  The second video in the Alicia Silverstone trilogy, “Amazing” was certainly cutting edge when the video was first released thanks to its computer and VR technology. Silverstone stars alongside Jason London, who transports himself into a VR world to win over Silverstone. When the video comes to an end, it shows London wasn’t really controlling the narrative in a plot twist that would make M. Night Shyamalan smile. Of course, let us not forgot the closing words to this track: “Wherever you are, remember/The light at the end of the tunnel may be you.”

• 3. "Cryin'" (343.8 million views)

  “Cryin'” was the first Aerosmith video to star Alicia Silverstone, who landed the role after the video’s director saw her in 1993’s The Crush. The video chronicles Silverstone’s character getting back at her boyfriend (Stephen Dorff) after she catches him cheating. An overpass jump and a middle finger later, a star was officially born. Plus, we sure would love to know just how many women got navel piercings because of this video.

• 2. "I Don't Want to Miss a Thing" (663.2 million views)

  If you were alive and mildly alert during 1998, then you know there was no escaping “I Don’t Want to Miss a Thing.” It was everywhere! Clearly, fans of the song still can’t get enough of the track and its music video, which has amassed over 663 million views and counting. The way footage from Armageddon was cut into the video featuring Liv and Steven Tyler was perfection.

• 1. "Crazy" (694.2 million views)

  Ah yes…the third and final video of the Alicia Silverstone trilogy, of course, is the most-viewed music video on Aerosmith’s YouTube page. Co-staring Liv Tyler, the scandalous video shows Silverstone and Tyler playing school girls who ditch class and go on a wild ride doing everything from giving a gas station clerk a thrill to winning an amateur striptease contest. Sure, the video could never be made today, but the ’90s were just a different, pervier time. At the very least, the song still rules.
