It’s Around Ocean County with Lisa Anderson: a weekly show focusing on public affairs that matter to you. This week features two guests, co founder Deidre Spiropoulos and grant writer Rowena Crawford Phillips from the non-profit organization Impact 100 Jersey Coast. This “women only” organization awards six figure grants to three area non profits who have been selected and voted on by the committee after completing a rigorous application process throughout the year. Impact Jersey Coast serves Monmouth and Ocean Counties. The original Impact 100 began in Cincinnati in 2001, and has grown to over fifty-five chapters across the country. Each woman who wants to join Impact must donate 1,100 per year in order to sustain the grants. Members are also encouraged to use their expertise in the field they have experience in, such as public Speaking, finance, etc.
