Today’s guest is Ocean County Sheriff Mike Mastronardy. Sheriff Mastronardy has been in law enforcement for over 40 years, serving the residents of Ocean County. Having worked his way up the ranks of the Toms River Police Department, he retired from a twenty two year position as Police Chief in 2013. Sheriff Mastronardy joked he was literally retired for thirty seconds, immediately taking over the position of Ocean County Sheriff. His office oversees and works hand in hand with several different divisions, such as Operations, Judicial Services, Investigations and Administration. The Sheriff is also responsible for the Countywide Identification program, as well as the K-9 support for all thirty-three municipalities.
