Steve Carell on His Run-in with Doppelgänger Alice Cooper
Steve Carell and Alice Cooper are one of entertainment’s most popular pairs of lookalikes, and as it turns out, the two actually met years ago.
Carell touched on meeting Cooper during a recent appearance on The Tonight Show when host Jimmy Fallon mentioned how many people on the internet say the actor and rock icon look alike. When asked if he had met Cooper before, Carell said, “I met Alice Cooper. I waited on him when I was working in Chicago when I was waiting tables. I was working in a restaurant, and he was — you know, he was Alice Cooper and couldn’t have been nicer. Sweetest guy in the world. I mean, he walks into a room, and he’s unmistakably Alice Cooper.”
Carell continued while adding a fun anecdote about Steven Tyler saying, “Steven Tyler is from an area that I live in in Massachusetts, and he always dresses like Steven Tyler. He wears leopard-skin pants, and he walks around this little town outside of Boston. And he goes into the Dunkin’ Donuts, buys donuts for everybody. He’s like, ‘Ooh-ahh, donuts!’ But he’s the nicest guy. The same thing.”
The whole bit made its way back to Cooper who shared the clip to Twitter with the caption, “Hmmm…what do you think?”
What we think is that it would be pretty cool if Michael Scott shaved his beard and played the Godfather of Shock Rock in some sort of biopic.
hmmm... what do you think? https://t.co/GF4yELfKgo
