Chris Hemsworth And Tom Hiddleston: See A Photo Of Them From A Decade Ago
Chris Hemsworth recently posted a photo of him and Tom Hiddleston on Instagram from their Thor casting 10 years ago.
Hemsworth captioned the pair of images, “This year marks the 10th anniversary of THOR when two unknown lads were given the keys to the kingdom. It’s been a hell of a ride and we clearly haven’t aged a day 😂 @twhiddleston @marvelstudios”
The first image shows the two actors unlike we have ever seen of them before. Hiddleston is wearing an emerald green marching band style jacket and long curly golden locks. Hemsworth is a bit more baby-faced than we’ve seen him before, wearing a red and gold satin jacket. It looks as if the actors have scripts in front of them as they pose like a deer in headlights for the photo.
The second image Hemsworth posts in his blast from the past post was a screenshot of an article written in 2009 by Vulture with a rather harsh headline that reads, “Marvel Rolls Dice, Casts No-Names for Thor.” The media outlet labeled the actors as “two virtual unknowns” who got the lead roles, disappointed that Shia LeBeouf and Josh Hartnett didn’t make the final cut.
It’s been exactly a decade this month since Thor graced the big screen, and we think it’s safe to say that with a number of Marvel movie appearances since, and a new Thor film and a Loki Disney+ show in production, that casting Hemsworth and Hiddleston was the right choice. As we earlier reported, Thor: Love and Thunder stars Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Natalie Portman reprising the role of Jane Foster and Tessa Thompson returning as Valkyrie. Christian Bale will be returning to comic book movies for the first time since The Dark Knight trilogy to play the villain Gorr the God Butcher. Stars from the Guardians of the Galaxy films, including Chris Pratt and Dave Bautista, are also appearing in the fourth Thor movie.
Thor: Love and Thunder is currently scheduled to hit theatres on February 11th next year.
Hiddleston is gearing up for the debut of Disney+ series, Loki streaming Wednesdays beginning on June 9th.
