Beware Of COVID-19 Vaccine Scams
We’re getting closer and closer to a coronavirus vaccine – and unfortunately, that means a rise in vaccine-related scams as well.
Experts are warning Americans to keep their eyes peeled for fake vaccines or websites trying to scam customers with fraudulent offers.
According to AP News, “Homeland Security Investigations started using 7,000 agents in tandem with border, FDA and FBI officials to investigate scams, seize phony products and arrest hundreds of people.”
Beware of:
- Vaccine, cure, air filter, and testing scams.
- Coronavirus-related charity scams.
- “Person in need” scams.
- Scams targeting Social Security benefits.
