Red Bank Police Department K-9 to Compete on ‘America’s Top Dog’
K-9 Hunter of the Red Bank Police Department is set to compete on America’s Top Dog. The episode starring Patrolman Stan Balmer and his K-9 partner Hunter will air on Wednesday, February 26 at 9pm EST.
Hunter was the first official police dog in the borough’s history when he joined the department in 2015. The eighth episode of the season will shine the spotlight on four police K-9 teams including Hunter and his handler.
K-9 Hunter and Officer Balmer of the Red Bank Police Department will be tested on their speed, agility, scenting ability and teamwork during a series of obstacle courses.
The winning team each week will receive $10,000 and an additional $5,000 to donate to the animal charity of their choice. Plus, the top competitors will return for the show finale for a chance to win a $25,000 cash prize and receive the “America’s Top Dog” title.
The A&E television show is hosted by Curt Menefee alongside Nick White and Jamie Little. You can watch a preview of the show and check out behind the scenes photos below.
