100.1 WJRZ’s Holiday Guide

Personally, I love the holiday season. I think it brings a fun and festive feeling to an otherwise cold and gross time of year. There’s all kinds of things to do this time of year to get you into the holiday spirit! Some of my favorites include building gingerbread houses, decorating my home, listening to festive music, and baking cookies. But the biggest thing of them all, at least in my opinion anyway, is getting together with friends and family and celebrating the year we just had.

It’s expected that there’s going to be food at these holiday parties. For me personally, Thanksgiving and Christmas tend to be the two biggest meals of the year, and I love it. I’m always the one in my family who is responsible for the green bean casserole on these holidays. I know some of you out there may be the one who does basically everything for the whole meal. And I know some of you out there may style your holiday dinners in a similar way to what my family and I do, essentially a potluck. No matter the way the dinner gets to your table, one constant between homes is that there will be appetizers. I think that appetizers are great whether they’re super fancy or super simple. Food before my food, I’m all about that. So if you’re like me, or you happen to be on appetizer duty this year, you’ve come to the right place. Down below, I’ve put together a list of nine appetizers that range from really simple to a bit more complex. They’ll all be sure to please a hungry crowd. Happy holidays!
