Banana Clip

I love the banana clip!  If you were having a bad hair day BAM! An instant hairdo.

Flashdance Sweatshirt

Flashdance was very popular or as we would say in the 80’s totally tublar and so was the off the shoulder sweatshirt Jennifer Beals character wore.

Fanny Packs

Fanny packs were everywhere.  Who doesn’t love an easy way to carry your stuff handsfree! I was in NYC recently and fanny packs are back in a big way.  The trendy way to wear them is across your body vs. across your waist.

Neon

When you think 80’s fashion you automatically think NEON…ANYTHING: bracelets, funky earrings, shoes and even undergarments!

Swatch Watch

Who can forget the Swatch Watch? So much personality right on your wrist.

Rubber Bracelets

Madonna introduced us to black rubber bracelets in the 80’s. The more you had the better. Soooo Desperately Seeking Susan.

White Keds Sneakers

The white Ked sneaker was popular in the 50’s and 60’s and made a major comeback in the 80’s. They went with everything, they’re comfortable and Baby wore them in Dirty Dancing!

Leg Warmers

We must discuss leg warmers too. According to Wikipedia, "leg warmers were worn by dancers to keep their muscles from cramping after stretching. In the early 1980s leg warmers became a fad due to the films Fame and Flashdance and the concurrent aerobics craze."

Barbara knew she was destined for airwaves when she got her first big broadcasting break: announcing the news over the loudspeaker in the middle school principal’s office. Fast forward a few (years and now she’s meeting the crushes she had way back (hellooo Rick Springfield) when she introduces them on stages big and small. Music has been a constant companion throughout her life. She and her husband have a voracious live music appetite and plan family vacations around concerts. She also frequently lends her voice to national commercials (such as Entenmanns Little Bites). She also has a spoiled rotten rescue dog named Mia, and two daughters.
