I love fall. I say that about every season (except winter. Hate winter.), but I really do mean it. And one of my favorite things about fall is all the food of the season. It's soup season and it's pie season. And it's also the season of pumpkins, how could anybody forget? And while I love all of those things, one flavor that really seems to be forgotten half the time is apple. Sure, you might have a slice of apple pie on Thanksgiving, but when pumpkin dominates the conversation so heavily, it's easy to forget about apples.
