100.1 WJRZ’s Guide To All Things Fall 2024

I love fall. I say that about every season (except winter. Hate winter.), but I really do mean it. And one of my favorite things about fall is all the food of the season. It’s soup season and it’s pie season. And it’s also the season of pumpkins, how could anybody forget? And while I love all of those things, one flavor that really seems to be forgotten half the time is apple. Sure, you might have a slice of apple pie on Thanksgiving, but when pumpkin dominates the conversation so heavily, it’s easy to forget about apples.

So, to bring it more the the forefront, I’ve decided to compile a list of all different apple cider-type recipes that you can enjoy all autumn long. There are baked goods and beverages down there. So whether you’re trying to check baking a sweet treat off your fall bucket list or you want to make fresh, homemade apple cider for your kids (or you) to enjoy, there are some great options down below. There are six of them to be exact. And all of them are sure to make your house smell fantastic!

So take a look. There’s even a gluten-free dessert if you or any of your loved ones can’t have that stuff. And if any of them sound good enough to make, take pictures and tag us on social media! We’d love to see what you’re whipping up!

Line an 8x8 baking dish with parchment paper and set aside. In a small bowl, whisk together the wet ingredients (eggs, avc, maple syrup, and oil). In a large bowl, mix together the dry ingredients. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry and mix together. Transfer batter to the baking dish. Next, prepare the streusel topping. In a small bowl mixed together, the streusel topping ingredients. Evenly spread it out on top of the batter. Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove foil and bake for 10-12 minutes more, or until a toothpick comes out clean. Let cool completely. If making the icing, whisk together the ingredients in a small bowl and drizzle on top. Cut into 12 squares and enjoy! #applerecipes #appleseason #apples
