Ocean TownshipThe Special Olympics of New Jersey Law Enforcement Torch Run is a statewide campaign coordinated and managed by all divisions of Law Enforcement officials throughout the state. Each year more than 3,000 officers participate in this 26-leg journey where the “Flame of Hope” is carried a distance of nearly 750 miles throughout the Garden State to The College of New Jersey in Ewing, where it ignites the cauldron at the Opening Ceremony for Summer Games. The run will travel through Monmouth County’s Ocean Township on Park Place and Bimbler Boulevard between 8 and 10:30am on Friday, June 12th. Visit sonj.org for more information.
