Church of Grace and Peace, 1563 Old Freehold Rd., Toms RiverThe Church of Grace and Peace in Toms River presents a Signature Art Festival on Friday and Saturday, May 29th and 30th. James Wheeler, Worship Pastor hopes to launch a unique movement to inspire Christian creative groups and individuals towards a modern day Renaissance of arts and expression in the local church community.
Art and craft vendor tents, an array of eclectic food samplings from local restaurants and food trucks, along with local musicians and arts groups will be present to share and inspire creativity.
Interactive and hands-on workshops will be free and open to the public, giving attendees an opportunity to make a collage, build a Lego creation, write a song, make a movie, write a poem or take photos for a collective inspired work of art – just to name a few of the opportunities offered at the Inspired Festival.
Guest speakers include Barry Moll of Jersey Shore United, a local faith-based nonprofit that helps bring needed relief to victims of Hurricane Sandy in this region. Donnie Rosa, founder of the Joysongs conference and local church worship equipping coach, will teach on building creative vision and perform with the One Voice Worship team of The Church of Grace and Peace.
Musical guests include local worship band Waiting for the Flood with front man Brian Elias, who will perform original music from their latest release, Anthem of Hope! The Ocean County College Jazz Ensemble under the direction of Dave Marowitz.
