On Saturday, June 10th the Sea Pirate Campground on Route 9 in West Creek
will host its annual Craft Beer Bash/Chili Cook Off. This event is a fundraiser for
the local fire companies.
All proceeds from this event will be donated to the Eagleswood fire company.
Owners, The Benn Family, feel that the all-volunteer fire company serves the
community and it is only right that the community give back to them. “It is just a
small token of our appreciation for all they do for us. We are hoping to see this
even keep growing over the coming years”.
The event is open to both restaurants, and the public. Prizes will be awarded for
best chili and best booth. A prize is also awarded for the best fire station
chili,best restaurant and best brew. The cook off begins at 1:00 pm and those
wishing to participate as a taster and judge are welcome. For a $10.00 entrance
fee you can sample the chili and vote on your favorite chili or purchase a ticket
that includes the Craft Beer Blast for $30.00. Live entertainment will be provided.
Sample craft beer from several local breweries: Pinelands Brewery, Ship Bottom
Brewery, Manafirkin Brewery and Garden State Brewery just to name a few.
