Ocean County Library Seeking Prom Dress Donations

All branches of the Ocean County Library will collect clean, gently used dresses until April 5th. The dresses will be distributed at the Jackson, Lakewood, Toms River and Barnegat branches in March and April to middle school and high school aged students at no charge, so they may attend their school’s graduations and dances.

Dresses can be both long and short styles for teens and can include bridesmaid’s dresses and cocktail dresses. Donations of shoes, handbags and accessories are also welcome.

The schedule for the Prom Dress Giveaways is:

Jackson branch: 4 to 8pm, Monday, March 10th and Tuesday, March 11th.

Lakewood branch: 10am to 4pm, Saturday, March 22nd.

Toms River branch: 11am to 4pm, Saturday, March 29th.

Barnegat branch: 4 to 8pm, Tuesday, April 8th and Wednesday April 9th.
